PR in Web 2.0: Social Media News Releases

The latest buzzword in the PR industry. SMRs for short or New Media Releases, these are a variation on the traditional Video News Releases (VNRs) with emphasis on creativity rather than production values.

Production of online video is cheaper and can be distributed (and promoted) using social networking sites and links. But be warned: just because it’s trendy, doesn’t mean it’ll work for everyone.
